# Lesson planning

> Expand a lesson into a full plan with activities and timings.

## Request

**inputs** `object` *required*

The lesson plan inputs. Carries the lesson topic, its parent unit context, the
learning outcomes in scope, and the lesson length.

## Response

Returns the structured lesson plan: a sequence of activities with timings,
required materials, and the outcomes each activity serves.

> Persisted lesson plans live on `lesson_plans`, in the columns `lesson_topic` and
> `lesson_plan_content`. There is **no** `lesson_number` column on that table —
> lesson ordering comes from the parent unit plan.
