Opening a unit gives you three views, numbered I to III. There are three — no more — and they hold everything the unit contains.

I — Overview

The unit at a glance: its learning outcomes, synopsis and curriculum mapping. This is where you check that MESO planned against what you actually selected. The curriculum mapping shows which specification outcomes the unit addresses, so it is the first place to look if a plan feels off-target.

II — Lessons

The lesson sequence that delivers the unit, from first ideas to applied reasoning. Each lesson carries a title, a duration, its objectives and its status — planned, in progress or completed. A lesson may also list its activities, its own assessment note, key learning and any resources attached to it. From here you open a lesson to expand it into a full plan — see Lesson plans.

III — Assessment

How students are graded against the outcomes at the end of the unit. This is the unit-level assessment, distinct from the per-lesson assessment notes in the Lessons view. See Assessments and Rubrics.

Moving between them

The view you are on is part of the page address, so a link to a unit can point at a particular view — useful when sharing a specific part of a plan with a colleague, or bookmarking the Lessons view of a unit you are mid-way through.
